As one of the largest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), Florida A&M University (FAMU) has a legacy to preserve that spans more than 133 years. That legacy requires proactive response to crisis, reputation management, and continuing to tell the legacy story so that recruitment, financial giving, and alumni engagement is sustainable.
Blueprint Creative was retained by various departments and functions across FAMU and in various capacities. As insiders in the higher ed sector, we understood the challenges ahead in a changing educational landscape, but we also saw the opportunities. Our impact was to exploit those opportunities for good.
One of our toughest roles at FAMU was leading the university through a national crisis following the hazing death of one of its students. Our crisis response had to be swift and proactive.
