Industries
Disrupted

Economic development leaders have seen entire industries disrupted and predict quality of place to be the new norm for talent and business attraction.

What does economic development look like in a post-COVID world? Although trends and economic indicators are still taking shape, Blueprint Creative spoke with economic development leaders around the country for their perspectives on how business attraction and targeted industries will start to shift. In the age of remote work and social distancing, there are also implications that talent and jobs will seek out communities that offer space, affordability, and safe social distancing compared to previously sought after amenities of walkability, lifestyle, and urban living.

As economic development marketers, this podcast series is how our agency drives thought leadership and shapes best practices. Throughout the series, leaders discuss the targeted industries in their respective communities that have shown tremendous growth potential during the pandemic and could stand to add significant job growth for their markets. Some communities have noticed a surge in life sciences companies as the race for a COVID-19 vaccine creates opportunities while other communities are seeing shifts in logistics and other sectors. Tune into the series for an interesting discussion.
